By Air

There are several international flights to and out of Entebbe International Airport (EBB) the main entry point to Uganda. There are several airlines that fly to Uganda – please check airlines that operate in Uganda under the operators section.

By Road

Today there are safe, easy but lengthy routes into Kampala from
a) Kenya (Nairobi)
b) Tanzania (Bukoba, Dar Es Salaam)
c) Rwanda (Kigali)
d) Juba (South Sudan)

Though the borders with South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo used to be risky, there is a growing bus service frequently used by the locals. You are advised to always research about the current travel situations before plying these routes.

Also note that visa requirements differ when travelling from these destinations. For Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya, a single tourist visa makes travel easier.
